I see this troupe of male comedians/improv "strippers" is coming to the Westman Centennial in June.  
Did anyone go to them the last time they were here? I was wondering how the show was.

A bunch of us girls went last time and we all thought they were hilarious!!

And it was non stop laughter! Can’t wait to go again!

Please don't think I'm making some kind of political statement by asking this, or trying to start something, I really do wonder what people think about it: If a group of female "comedian/strippers" came to Brandon, would this be considered legitimate or acceptable?

been to the keyrock? there are female strippers all the time and people are not protesting.  
 
Why are you asking if something is acceptable or legitimate when it already is going on? There are no laws broken so yes, it is legitimate

Yes, have you never been to the keyrock?? Women are naked several times an hour and some days its pretty comical.

Is this not more of a comic performance than a stripper act?

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear. Yes, of course there is a "legitimate" stripper scene, but this idea of stripper comedians is something different. It's at an entertainment venue, not a bar. Strippers are still generally considered to be at a morally vague position in mainstream society (some think it's fine, others find it demeaning or even vulgar and offensive), but making it a comedy event at a mainstream entertainment venue suggests a different kind of 'social sanction'. I'm just curious if female "stripper/comedians" would be seen the same way. The first couple of responses to the male "stripper/comedy" show were pretty enthusiastic.

Actually, they don’t strip at all. They are shirtless, pants-wearing hella funny dudes with ‘dad bods’ that do a lot of improv comedy on the stage. It’s quite innocent.

I think I know what you’re saying... i always wonder this in regard to the Ellen Degeneres show. She quite often has males parade around her show almost naked. There’s even times that they “dirty dance” in the audience and the audience puts money down their pants. I can just imagine the outrage if this was women instead of men!! It’s funny but the intent behind it feels like it’s more about exploiting their bodies than the comedy aspect of it  
 
To answer your question, if this comedy show was women, I’d be okay with that too and would even go see it. It’s a comedy show with some nudity not a stripper show with some comedy so I guess that’s my thoughts on it
