Canadian Idol cancelled for '09

Not so good news for Idol fans who enjoyed the Canadian flavour of Canadian Idol... looks like CTV will not be doing the show in '09:

Although I personally haven't followed the show as much in recent seasons, I always enjoyed the idea of it creating an overnight star.
