Canadian Idol auditions on the weekend in Wpg

Read in the Wheat City Journal that Canadian Idol auditions were this past weekend in Winnipeg.
It's been a while since Caroline (sp?) Burgoyne (sp?) made it far in the show several years ago... does anyone know of any locals that made the trip and made the cut to the next round?
