What do people find helpful to put on car door weather strips to keep doors from freezing shut? I tried tire dressing but that doesn't seem to help.

wipe the rubber seals down if u can. especially after going to a car wash. wipe down the door jams also

The best way to keep your doors from freezing shut is to keep them dry. I know that sounds obvious but I see so many cars with snow on the roof, hood and trunk lid that it would be nearly impossible to keep things even close to dry with the thawing and re-freezing that will happen.  
 
So, keep the snow off your car, and clear it off before the thaw freeze cycle can start to happen. If you're concerned about after you wash your car, If you can, park the car outside after washing and leave the doors open slightly to let the water drain off the door rubbers, or evaporate or freeze before closing them tight. Even leaving the doors closed but only on first latch can help.

Clear silicone grease available at Canadian Tire or other hardware stores. It helps to repel the moisture.

The best thing is to make sure you chamois or cloth dry the jams and rubber. I normally use a wand wash so I don't tend to have that problem anymore. I stopped using the coop drive thru one as it was expensive and never did a great job of washing and certainly not drying.

use a little antifreeze on a cloth or spray bottle and wipe/spray it on the rubber and give it a little wipe down so it's not dripping. Never had an issue (and I wash my vehicles regularly year round). I also give a little squirt in the latch just to help it not freeze up after a wash.

Does a person have to take care of what they put on the door or window seals, sometimes certain things can deteriorate different rubber compounds.

Exactly what Ms.Daisy and fargobob said. If you use any oil by product Tire dressing, silicone spray etc it will eat the rubber of your door seals and that will cause other issues soon enough

Wipe you seals and hinges as best you can. Then when you park do not lock your doors. Put door lock antifreeze on your hinges and in your locks. Then when you park. Do not lock your doors - close em so they just slightly latch and the doors are still slightly ajar. After 15 - 30 mins go out and try all the locks and doors. If you find any door or lock sticking then repeat. Also try once a week or before a snow fall give your locks a shot of door lock antifreeze and keep a bottle in your coat pocket for emergency.

I just use a food grade silicone spray. No sticking or freezing

Best thing I have found is just leave the doors froze shut. Hang the keys up by the door. Lock the house, take baggage to airport. Fly somewhere nice like Arizona, come back in spring when vehicle thawed out.

No wash, no wet, no freezing. It is just a car.

I've got some 303 Protectant I'm going to try.

Use only silicone spray or silicone based products on rubber.

All kinds of opinions, home remedies and ideas.  
Most vehicle manufacturers recommend ensuring the seals are dry, warm and clean.  
Then apply a spray or thin paste of silicone lubricant. Done.  
This is part of every seasonal service we do at the dealership.  
The silicone lubricant not only helps keep seals from sticking, but helps prevent the seals from squeaking and keeps the seals soft and pliable.  
Do NOT use petroleum based products such as WD-40 or oils or petroleum based tire shines. At the dealership here we have replaced many seals from them swelling almost twice their size.
