So I have started the task of vehicle shopping. I am looking for an SUV with likely 7 seats but would consider a 5 seater as well. Some things I am looking for this time are a decent warranty. My current vehicle is a GM product but I’m now looking at imports. I’m doing the research on a Mazda, Hydandai, Nissan or a Honda. It appears that Mazda or Hyandai may offer the best bumper to bumper warranty. Has anybody else looked into this as well? My GM has been a bit of a lemon over the last 4.5 years I have had it. I’m wanting something that I won’t have to pay to repair for a bit!!! Any thoughts anyone?

Mazda has the best warranty if you do a lot of hwy driving.  
 
IMO best low maintenance vehicle is Honda and Toyota (know Toyota isn't on your list). Both are and have been proven winners for decades.  
 
IF you buy extended warranty when purchasing a "new" vehicle it is very cost effective. IF you buy used it won't be. However, a lot of people believe that if you own a Honda or Toyota there is no need for extended warranty as their vehicles are so reliable that you won't even need it.  
 
The way I took at it is that all vehicles have more and more electronics packed into them. One electrical part that fails will run you thousands of dollars. Depending on extended warranty, you can get a decent yr/mileage for $1500. Which in the end is peace of mind. Thats my 2 cents.

As the car dealer I know said "Maintenance is cheaper than depreciation".  
 
Anything you buy, will lose 25% - 33% in the first year.

If everyone thought that way you would soon run out of used vehicles to buy. Everyone woukd buy used, no one would buy new-and then you have a problem.  
 
Depreciation is not always more expensive than maintainance. Went to buy a new vehicle one day-salesman asked do I want new or used? I told him it did not matter-my only requirement is I do not want to buy someone else's problem. Without another word he turned to his list of new vehicles. Pretty much what I thought too. I will never buy used again.  
 
Now to the OP question. Nissan. Off your list I would choose Nissan, hands down. They are good vehicles and I am satisfied with the warranty offered.

I agree, I have had a Mazda CX-9 for the last 6 years and it has been a great vehicle, and the service team at Forman Mazda is awesome, best in the city imo. Prior to the CX-9 I had a used Hyundai Sante Fe and it was a great vehicle as well, never had any issues with it either. I switched because I needed a little bit more room and the salesman at Mazda was more willing to negotiate than the one at Fowler so I made the switch.

At buying new...... I bought my current vehicle at a year old but want the peace of mind of buying new.. I’m just so sick of paying what seems to be top dollar for a vehicle and having to pay to fix it. Bumper to bumper warranty is what I’m looking for. I have discovered that some are 5 year no km limit. Most are 60 000 km or 3 yr . I guess I just need to test drive a bunch.

Do you find you have enough power? It’s only a 4 cylinder engine is it not..? I had a Mazda MPV ( van) years ago and had no trouble. I traded it in on a new GM that I had for 5 years but during that time I replaced the ball joints on it. Thank God for warranty as it was big bucks to do. I traded that one on a newer model of the same vehicle but am looking to stay away from GM stuff altogether. I looked at Mazda cause I have a prior experience but am not sure about the CX-9 due to the 4 cylinder engine.

Mazda cx9 is a 6 cylinder engine. Your probably thinking cx5, which is 4 cylinder 5 passenger.  
 
Mazda parts are still very expensive vs other makers.  
 
Cheapest parts are always domestic vs imports  
 
 
From my experience I had a used GM vehicle, at the time of purcashing I did purchase extended warranty. Thank God I did,  
Because the amount of extended warranty work needed was insane. The extended warranty paid off... but the things that was replaced are parts not known to replace at that mileage. After owning it for 7 yrs, with only 90k on it the rear main seal went, which would've costed $1300 to fix. So I traded it in because I was without warranty and did not want to spend money to fix it.

My 2012 CX-9 is a 6 cylinder AWD, and have had no concerns with power. I don't pull anything with it, however never any issues when accelerating in town or on the highway at any speed.
