Please somebody knows what happens with the car from the government?... I want to buy a car and the first thing tell me the dealer... This car was from the government!.. I didn't buy because I don't know if is ok o what happens.

The government buys or leases new cars for its employees that need cars for their jobs. When done with them they go to auction. Used dealerships buy them. Most dealers try to buy the nicest cars. They don't want to ruin their reputation by selling a lemon.

Check out the website www.gcsurplus.ca, this is where you can find a lot of govt vehicles. Most are in good mechanical shape, just read the des:cription before you bid.

Any federal government vehicles get sold through Government Canada Surplus. This inludes RCMP, National Defense, Fisheries, Customs Agriculture, and a host of others. They have a website gcsurplus.ca where you can sign up and bid..most auctions are for a 7 day period, although larger things like ships or aircraft will sometimes be on longer.  
 
National Defense tries to replace their vehicles after only 3 or 4 years for cars, in order to get the best return on them while keeping repair and maintenance costs to a minimum.

Associated Auto Auctions in Headingley has frequent auto auctions for the provincial government, City of Winnipeg, and City of Brandon.

Used government cars and rental cars go to auction.  
Once vehicles reach a certain mileage, or age.  
Dealerships buy them and sell them all the time  
Look for used cars that are 1 year old  
Or used cars that have less than 30000km
