A reminder to drivers who seem to be completely unaware somehow. If there is a flashing yellow traffic light and flashing red going other direction it is NOT a 4 way stop. Those with yellow should proceed with caution and those with flashing red are to stop and proceed thru only when safe to do so.  
 
When those with yellow stop at the light you are putting yourself and others at risk by stopping unexpectedly and by allowing other traffic to attempt to cross when not all traffic is stopping.

I travelled through that intersection three times today (18th & Queens) and each time there were multiple cars stopping for the flashing amber.  
 
The worst incident involved a car entering the intersection on the flashing red, because some cars stopped at the ambers. The car entering on the red just about got t-boned by a car proceeding through the ambers.  
 
We really do need testing every couple years.

It would be very helpful if the Radio stations would know the rules of the road. This morning shortly after 10 the radio was warning people what lights were out AND TO TREAT THEM AS A 4 WAY STOP. Totally wrong information, if you don’t know don’t say it.

I am glad someone posted this. Went through there a couple times today and was blown away by the amount of bad driving on display.  
 
As for the radio stations, they were 100% correct. When lights are out completely, treat as a 4 way. This changes completely when there are flashing reds and flashing ambers.

Maybe there should be a police presence at said intersection. Hand out a few tickets, maybe a few licence suspensions and who knows what else they may happen upon !

You said that on Radio to treat as 4 way because were out.  
 
But they are Right in saying Treat as a Four Way Stop.  
 
Lights are totally out then 4 Way Stop...  
 
If a Flashing Amber and Red, Proceed with caution and Red stop till safe to proceed...
