    I saw many drivers leaving their cars running (no one inside including pets) while they went shopping.  
     
    Just wondering why. It wasn't even cold out.  
     
    I can see at -40 C but plus 2 C seems a bit ridiculus

    Could just be laziness. If someone is running into a store quickly they might not want to bother turning the car off and on.  
     
    IMO seems kinda silly to leave a car running at any point in time, it's just asking for vehicle theft.

    Pets sometimes settle better when the vehicle is running and the fan is on. Nobody can steal the vehicle if you lock it and hit command start while you run inside.

    I'm sorry, but without the make and model of vehicle, chart engine RPMs, and length of time left running, we can't very well take this issue seriously.

    maybe they had to jump there car and didnt want to chance not being able to start it or wanted to give it extra time to charge

    Unless you peeped in their windows you may have not noticed a dog or teenager laying in the back. Maybe their vehicle died earlier and they were ensuring it wouldn’t die again at the store. Don’t know why it matters enough for an ebrandon post honestly.

    I see it all the time, at every time of the year. Idling vehicles while the occupants fill up a cart.  
     
    It's why I have little sympathy for the uproar that inevitably occurs when gas prices spike. If you want to idle your trucks and SUV's, it's not my problem.  
     
    Come to think of it, it's almost never Jettas or Civics that I see idling. I'm starting to see a pattern here.
