Abbysmum said "I believe the "sticker price" is considered the advertised price. So really, the price should be the price, because there will always be the sticker price. "
If the car has a sticker in the window or if you see it advertised online. The only things they can add to the price are GST/PST. According to the law I believe even enviro fees have to be i:ncluded in the sticker prices.
Obviously if you add things to the sale such as an extended warranty, winter tires, accessories etc. then that isn't what the law is about, those are add-ons and not i:ncluded. But when they say dealer fee of $500 applies but don't worry that i:ncludes tire damage or something like that. I'll be very clear, total BS, they are selling you a tire damage warranty worth $50 for $500 and is a crooked practice. Or if they try and charge you a PPSA fee of $700 it is also a crooked practice. The PPSA fee is something that's a cost of doing business for dealers when they finance, it's a few dollars a year to register a lien with the Government of MB. Some dealers take advantage of people and say it's financing fees and mark it up 500% and tack it on the bill. And the usual thing is it's a standard fee everyone pays it.
Please, please, if anyone is doing this or has done this to you don't pay or demand money back and report it to the complaints link I provided in a previous post.
