Toyota Highlander Hybrid or not

Considering the Toyota Highlander. Probably the Platinum trim. Apparently, they went to a 4 cylinder hybrid.
Will this hybrid have enough power to go up hill with 4 adults? Will I see a difference in performance between the hybrid and the gasoline version?
