Dealers have been saying they're hurt by customers going to the US to buy used vehicles. I always assumed it was a real hassle to buy car from the US due to paperwork and that it would cost a ton to safety it and pay tariffs and duties and taxes etc.  
 
It can't be too bad if what they say is true about losing customers to US dealers.  
 
I'd personally prefer to buy locally but I'm curious to know if it really is easy to buy a US vehicle and what extra paperwork/fees are involved.  
 
It would have to be one heckuva saving before I'd ever consider buying a vehicle in the US like they so many folks are apparently doing now.  
 
Anybody with insight?
