WE are taking our own chances by crossing when WE feel is safe to do so, and you're screwing it up for everyone. Forget watching for illegal crossers, and start paying more attention to the stop sign/sidewalk you blow past only looking in one direction, while a pedestrian is coming from the other side. " |

Don't you pedestrians understand the law? Crossing in the middle of the block IS LEGAL, as long as you yield to vehicles.
And, drivers, vehicles should not stop for pedestrians to cross in the middle of the block. (Unless a stop is required as not to hit one.) Edited by Bob43, 2015-10-03 22:55:43" |

Bob, have you a link to information that supports this? I'm not disagreeing with you, and I do it most everyday. I have been told it's not legal though, and know someone that says he was ticketed for doing so.
I'd really like to know for sure what the law says.
