Mechanic help!

    Slid into a curb on the front passenger side of my 2015 Dodge Journey. The vehicle will rev but will not move in reverse or drive. Any info on this? The problem and how much it would cost?

    Did you smack it really good? About the only thing I could think it would be if it was just hitting a curb was you broke an axle because if it revs but doesn't move seems like the trans isn't driving the wheels.  
     
    Push it and see if it rolls even while in park or get under and have look to see if anything is hanging.  
     
    Probably 300 bucks to fix at a shop

    Probably be cheaper as an autopac claim.

    Happened to me a few years ago

    Slid into curb as I turned. Was still able to move but definitely caused damaged to the front right side, very wobbly. Local mechanic quote me around around $1200 to fix. Was an older vehicle so I opted for the autopac claim instead and got a new one.

    I'm going to agree that it is likely axle damage and going to cost a fortune to fix, especially given how new it is. You'd be better off taking the demerit hit on your license and filing an autopac claim.
