    Does anyone know if the PST rebate is applicable if you sell a car and buy a side by side ATV?

    I'm not 100% sure how it works but I think it's like this. It doesn't matter what you buy after selling your car. I think in order to get a pst rebate you must have only owned the car for 6 months or less and have paid the pst when you bought it.

    The rebate would not apply here. You can only get the refund if you sell and buy an off road vehicle, or if you sell and buy a car. Vehicle has to be the same type.

    There are two categories for PST rebates.  
     
    1. Motor Vehicles & Trailers (Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Trailers)  
    2. Off Road Vehicles (An off-road vehicle is a snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle, dirt bike, mini-bike or trail-bike.)  
     
    The bought and sold vehicles must come form the same category to be eligible for the PST rebate.
