I was cut off in Winnipeg several years ago. The car came flying out of a parking lot right in front of me - he did not slow down or yield. I t-boned him and he was totally at fault. I immediately got three witnesses' names, addresses and phone numbers and it was a good job I did. The other driver tried to claim I was at fault somehow. I provided the witnesses information to MPI when I filed my claim and again when I was told the case was being reviewed due to his counter claim. About a week later, they called me again asking for the witnesses' info again and then suggested that they were people I knew or was related to.... what a joke. I had to pay my deductible and wait.... and wait for MPI to finally decide I was not at fault. I think the process took almost 6 months when all was said and done......
be prepared for a lot of run-around B.S. from there.
