Hey westman have a Ford F-350 6.0 wondering what a  
Kind of tuners guys/gals are using looking at a couple just wanting to know others experience with tuners looking at a bullydog or a Diablo trinity any advise would be great

Mine is getting the heads done now with arp studs egr delete new oil cooler once the junk is fixed you can poor the power to them

I have tried a bunch of different ones and I find Bullydog is my favorite. All I do is work on powerstrokes and have come to like them the best.the least issues with tuning and they have good customer support. Shift on the fly with 4 different gauges built in to monitor your engine. And they're reasonably priced at $590. I've sold tons of them and no complaints so far.

Only worry I have with the bullydog is how the shift on fly work just wonder why the rest your pcm has to reboot

I have a 7.3 liter with a TS performance chip by far better than Bully Dog any day of the week. I had a bully dog in my 7 3 and it was garbage compared to the TS performance chips.  
6.0L don't chip it if you don't have a good head studs otherwise you could be stretching them out and then causing yourself huge cash.

installed many tuners on 6L and 6.4 and all i can recommend is H&S they cost a bit more but i have never seen an issue with them. they have the multiple profiles and shift on the fly too.

My boyfriend has an H&S tuner on his truck that he got a year or two ago. The company has now gone belly up or some shit and now he can't even update his tuner. He is stuck buying a new one through someone else.  
 
Bullydog is the next best thing to H&S.

i can update any h&s chip if your boyfriends needs it. website maybe gone but i have all the stuff to do it, programs tunes unlock codes ect

Ever consider getting a custom tune installed? Wall's have done 3 trucks for us now and we have been happy with them. Just another option to consider, does not have to be them as I am sure there are others in Wesman that do same tunes.

Where is walls and what kind of tuners do you need for the custom tunes

Diesel tuning is essentially replacing the engine run file with a modified one... Much more effective then traditional chipping which generally just plays with 1 or 2 parameters... Fuel pressure and pulse width of injectors..... Effective but long term not recommended... When I tune Its done live.... use a reader and copy file... Save file ... Send file to my tuning company they modify it send it back to me and I load it back into your car, truck,combine ,tractor, and boom done instant power ... No external anything .... Nothing running out of spec..( or it shouldn't be ) handheld devices are available generally to hold couple different tune ups etc etc.. A person should be kinda carful about it though use someone who u trust lol because your essentially buying someone's code.... And some are princess auto quality and some are bmw quality... So do a bit of research... Lots of info out there... Been doing this in Europe fer years already !!!

Anyone running a bullydog that can give a opinion

looking into getting a 2001 duramax custom tuned, having issues with p0093 and limp mode which cant be diagnosed or fixed as of yet, been fighting for over a year now and basically only the ecm left. any one in westman area work on duramax?

Lol the difference in code is simple to understand when yer in limp mode....

You ever check out Steinbauer, kinda the caddy of performance modules but you get what you pay for and cheap at the front end often costs more in the long run.

They are effective but would not recommend for long term use.... They just trick the ecu into doing different things such as lengthening injector pulse and raising fuel pressure.... Tuning however re maps whole ecu.. Much safer in the long run when done With quality data/code ....  
I always know when I'm in a chipped machine... The temps always higher then it should be.. Never a good sighn if things are working the way they are supposed to...  
 
So tune don't trick lol...
