Thank you for the two deep scratch's and the dent on the passengers side of my 2014 white Equinox yesterday at Walmart between 11:00 and noon. You know that you did it but did you leave a note. NO that would have made you an honest person. It was such a nice Christmas present and I will now have to pay to have fixed. There are so many things that I could say about you but they won't be too nice. May you have a lousy Christmas.

Grr.. I don't like people who do that. I hope you written down the license plate and the make of the vehicle which dinged your vehicle and reported it to the police.  
 
If you make a MPI claim on your vehicle, they might be able to find the bozo who did that to do. The bozo would be dumb enough trying to make a claim on their vehicle to MPI or to an auto body shop in order to get their vehicle fixed. This is a shortened version how a person who hit and run me got busted in late June.

I did not see them do it

might want to invest in one of these. Worked for me. Got the hit and run driver on video. My deductible was paid for by the idiot as well.

What always gets me is the people that are too lazy too put there cart in the cart corals even though they are everywhere at Walmart I can only imagine many vehicles have been dinged by them

Right at the body line, high up on the drivers door of the minivan. Paint gone and dented at the crease (had to have been done by an SUV or truck to get it that high). Now I'll have to look at it every time I walk up to it and reach for the handle. I'm still pissed about having gone to the Coral and it's been several days. But that's really nothing, compared to the condition of our other vehicle. My wife takes the truck to Sobeys South for work and it's unbelievable how bad it looks now. I'm thinking that when we have to do our next Autopac claim I'll pay for some whole new sets of door skins on the right side. Absolutely brutal! I've couldn't have it look any worse, unless if they had used an pickax. But she has to parks it out there almost every day. Her mirrors are regularly knocked back, carts are up against the front and I now dread taking that 'soon to be five year old' truck through the wash only to break my heart discovering something else has happened to it. All I keep hearing in my head after washing it is... Clunk, bang, thunk. Nothing ever gets said or heard from all that time there she's worked there from anyone hitting it. Nobody cares ...unless it's their vehicle. If it ever gets completely fixed, I should plan to get manufactured some massively large stainless steel door guards that protrude a sharp edge out two inches along the entire vehicle. So that, they could easily take a chunk out of the other cars door edge when they make contact. "how do you like that, you careless dumb@$$? You just screwed up your own car, instead of someone elses." I could probably make a profitable business making these aggressive ding protectors. LOL

I hate to get my car dinged and the walk doesn't hurt. but I also own a Monte Carlo, with very long doors, so I too have to be very careful when opening my door. The stalls are so small, everyone driving and SUV or truck, or the one's that come after you and figure they can fit into the spot right beside you, when a very small car wouldn't fit.  
 
Just less worry.

Was this guy on his side of the yellow line or one of these guys who park right on the yellow line.

Being parked on the yellow line or over the yellow line doesn't really mean anything. I have seen it happen several times where someone will park in an available spot and be parked on or over the line simply because all of the other cars in that row are parked wrong. Then when the rest leave, the last guy to park there looks like "the idiot", when in fact it was the first one who parked there that was the idiot, but they're long gone.  
 
I like to try to park far away from all of the other cars too. Besides, the little walk is good for me. Not so pleasant at -30 though. One thing that I've noticed though is no matter how far I park from the store and no matter how far I park from all of the other cars, when I get back to my car there is always one car parked right beside it. It makes me have to ask why people insist on parking next to the one lone car when they could park anywhere on the lot?  
 
Agreed, part of the problem is that the lines seem to be spaced for the smallest cars, although my thoughts are that they are actually spaced as close as possible so that the lot can accommodate the largest number of vehicles possible. Some of the older lots had wider spaces and would comfortably park pick-ups and SUVs.

Reminds me of the curb your enthusiasm episode....but sometimes...just sometimes you see the guy that obviously just figured he'd park however he felt (usually big pick ups).

The vehicle next to me was between the lines and so was I in the next space - I was about 3/4's of the way down the row because I have only had the vehicle 3 months and this was what I did not want to happened to it. I made sure there was quite a bit of room between me and the vehicle next to me. I guess I thought they were a better driver and cared about other people vehicles. Boy I was wrong. The spaces ahead to us were both clear when I pulled in. I have been hoping that someone did see something.
