    I am starting to think about getting a different vehicle, most likely a used one. I am toying with the idea of getting a hybrid vehicle, but the price is a deterrent. I am also wondering about repair costs. Has anyone owned one? Or a mechanic who services them? Etc. What are your opinions about hybrid vehicles in general as well as specific models?

    Some are good, some are bad. The Toyota hybrids are typically more reliable than non-hybrids. There is also less brake wear and so on. Previous Honda hybrids had battery management issues, I don't think I would get a Honda hybrid until they've proven that those problems have been solved.

    is a fantastic hybrid. Love ours! Go see Bob Simmerson at Hyundai for a test drive-you will be impressed. Unlike the Toyota. this mid-sized car has more get up and go than you'll ever need, no change on steep grade, no problem starting in winter, etc, etc

    The Ford hybrids are actually quite good. I've had one for 3 years now on a lease, and I'm 100% getting a new one when the lease is up.
