I'm one of the many Brandon-folks who are without a Family doctor and awaiting one and so I have a question...If one doesn't have a family doctor who handles referrals and such to specialists like Dermatologists or other areas, how does one reach out to them...like would they see patients who were not referred to them or can walk-in doctors do referrals? I'm just interested in knowing all the facts before making any phone calls and such!!

Yes to see a specialist you must see a doctor whether it’s a walk-in or the ER. They will not see you if you didn’t go that route. Family doctors are very hard right now to get , but keep trying as I just got one Thursday after not having one for 25 years. I wasn’t looking for the last 20 but still nice to finally get one.
