Compass Credit Union is currently looking for a candidate to fill the role of a Full-Time Wealth Specialist / Mutual Funds Investment Specialist in Brandon.
The Position
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the successful applicant of this position will primarily conduct personalized meetings with members to open and administer registered plans, GICs, and mutual fund accounts.
- Rotation to Erickson Branch one day a week every 3 weeks.
- Greet and assist members in person, by phone, and via email with a positive, professional, and service?oriented approach.
- Demonstrate strong sales and referral capabilities to support members? financial needs.
- Provide accurate information about products, services, policies, and account details.
- Resolve member inquiries and concerns efficiently & maintain a strong client-advisor relationship.
- Process account transactions, applications, and service requests.
- Maintain accurate and confidential member records.
- Assist members in navigating online services and digital tools.
- Support operational tasks, including daily, monthly and yearly reports and annual KYC updates.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient member experience.
- Participate in continuing education & training to stay current on products, procedures, and compliance standards.
Experience/Education:
The ideal candidate will bring 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Candidates must have completed, be currently enrolled in, or be willing to pursue the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or the Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) Course.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems and tools efficiently.
The Credit Union
Compass Credit Union, formerly Crocus and Erickson Credit Union, have two branches in Brandon, one in Erickson as well as a majority interest in an insurance agency. We have a membership base of about 6,500 members. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
