BHP Mechanical Service Group Ltd. is looking for a full-time Dispatcher to join our team. This is a fast-paced position that plays a key role in coordinating service calls, supporting technicians, and helping ensure customers receive prompt and professional service.
Position Details
Position: Dispatcher
Location: Brandon, MB
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Starting Wage: $25.00 per hour
Benefits: Available after 3 months
Responsibilities
The Dispatcher will be responsible for:
- Scheduling and dispatching service technicians
- Answering incoming calls and gathering accurate service information
- Prioritizing service calls based on urgency, technician availability, and location
- Communicating clearly with customers, technicians, and office staff
- Updating work orders and job details in the service system
- Tracking technician progress throughout the day
- Assisting with follow-up calls, scheduling changes, and general service coordination
- Maintaining a high level of organization in a busy work environment
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a very high-paced environment
- Strong computer skills
- Attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Previous dispatching, scheduling, or service coordination experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical services considered an asset
