Westman Naturalists - Autumn Hawk Watch

Join us for our annual autumn hawk watch along the river valley north of Virden. Starting at 9am, take a seat (lawn chairs recommended) and watch the skies for raptors and any other birds making their way south for fall migration. Hawks/eagles/falcons and such are the goal, but we often see a lot of waterfowl and songbirds travelling too, if the wind is favourable!
We will have telescopes and binoculars available, but please bring yours if you have them. Bring a chair, too, as we'll be staying in one spot till around noon (sometimes later, depending on the birds). Snacks, water, and a lunch are always a good idea!
