Quarry Hills Excavation & Gravel Ltd. is one of Westman's fastest growing commercial heavy equipment contractors, specializing in gravel, sewer & waterworks, and earthworks. We take pride in providing efficient, reliable service and are currently looking to add a motivated and reliable Landscaper/Labour to join our growing team.
Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- General knowledge of landscaping and hardscape installations
- Experience operating a skid steer
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Valid Class 5 Driver?s License, while a Class 3 license is considered an asset
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety
- Previous landscaping, construction, or labour experience considered an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare job sites including grading, leveling, and base preparation
- Load, unload, and transport landscaping materials, gravel, soil, and tools
- Operate skid steers and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Support excavation and site preparation crews when required
- Perform general labour tasks including digging, raking, compacting, and material placement
- Maintain tools and equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organized
- Follow all company safety procedures and site regulations
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
- Out of town may be required
