We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team at Gabler Welding Ltd. in Carberry. The successful candidate will work along side the rest of our team in installing, maintaining, fabricating, troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment at both our site and many industrial customer locations. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work efficiently in a sometimes, fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

?        Installation and Maintenance: Install, align, and maintain mechanical equipment, including augers, conveyors, motors and gearbox?s and all other industrial equipment.

?        Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operations of equipment.

?        Preventative Maintenance: Develop and advise on preventive maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of equipment failure and extend lifespan of machinery.

?        Fabrication and Welding: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or enhance equipment and machinery.

?        Blueprints and Schematics: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment and system operation and requirements.

?        Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Promote a safe working environment by following safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.

?        Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance. Coordinate with staff and suppliers to order necessary materials.

?        Collaboration: Work closely with our team, and our customer?s production staff and maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations and minimal disruption to our customer?s production.

?        Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

?        Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in millwrighting or industrial maintenance preferred. Ideally the candidate will hold a Red Seal.

?        Experience: Proven experience as a millwright in an industrial setting, with specific experience in welding machinery and equipment.

?        Skills:

?        Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

?        Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.

?        Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

?        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

?        Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

?        Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
