For sale by the standard roll of fifty are Canadian pennies minted during the reign of Elizabeth II. That is, the pennies were minted between 1953 and the disappearance of the penny in 2012. The rolls come in three different types and prices as follows:
1997 to 2012-These pennies have only a thin copper coating; the coins are overwhelmingly non-copper. The rolls are available at $1.75 each.
1953-1996-These pennies are almost pure copper and have a melt value based on the price of copper as well as a numismatic value based on condition and mintage. Each roll is priced at $4.50.
1953-2012-These rolls have a mix of copper and non-copper varieties but the majority would be copper. They are $3.50 each.
I have multiple rolls of each type. All coins are in fine or better circulated condition.
