Soil Sampling Technician - Seasonal
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Seasonal Soil Sampling Technicians to join our team for the upcoming sampling season. This temporary position will typically last from September to the end of November, with the potential for additional seasonal opportunities in subsequent years. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
? Conduct soil sampling at designated locations using specialized equipment and following established protocols.
? Ensure accurate and representative soil samples are collected to provide valuable data for analysis.
? Collaborate with the soil sampling team to plan sampling routes and efficiently cover target areas.
? Assist in the packaging and labelling soil samples for transportation to the laboratory.
? Participate in training sessions to become familiar with sampling procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment operation.
? Communicate effectively with the team to provide progress updates and discuss any challenges or questions that arise during the sampling process.
? Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
? Adhere to the schedule and complete assigned sampling tasks within designated timeframes.
Requirements:
? High school diploma or equivalent.
? A valid Manitoba driver's license with clean abstract.
? Previous experience in soil sampling or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
? Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise sampling protocols.
? Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
? Physical fitness to walk, stand, and lift sampling equipment for extended periods.
? Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Duration and Compensation:
This is a seasonal position lasting approximately three months. Compensation will be provided on an hourly basis. The exact start and end dates will be communicated during the selection process.
