This coin was minted in Canada (note the "c" mint mark) for pre-confederation Newfoundland. The coin is a little better than average circulated condition and is composed of sterling silver. It has an actual silver weight of.0350 ounces or .992 grams. Only about 612,000 of these coins were minted.
