Full-Time Professional Nanny

We are seeking a highly experienced, dependable, and professional full-time nanny to provide care for four children between the ages of 4 and 8. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and communicates with them in a kind, patient, nurturing, and respectful manner, including during challenging moments.

The children have a well-established daily schedule and routine, and the ideal candidate will confidently maintain that structure while creating a positive and supportive environment. A background in Montessori, Early Childhood Education (ECE), or another child-centered approach is a strong asset, particularly for candidates who value respectful communication, positive guidance, and encouraging children's independence.

Schedule

The position is approximately 40 hours per week, with a typical schedule of:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The schedule generally consists of 8-hour daytime shifts. Some flexibility is required, as scheduled hours may occasionally vary. Evening and weekend support will sometimes be required.

The successful candidate should also be comfortable travelling with the family when required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing attentive, responsible care and supervision for four children
• Following and maintaining the children's established daily schedules and routines
• Planning and organizing age-appropriate crafts, activities, and projects
• Planning outdoor activities and regular outdoor time
• Driving the children to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, outings, and other locations as required
• Helping the children stay organized and responsible for their belongings
• Supporting the children in completing their age-appropriate chores and household responsibilities
• Encouraging independence, good habits, and age-appropriate life skills
• Helping the children prepare for school, activities, outings, and transitions throughout the day
• Preparing or assisting with simple meals and snacks for the children as needed
• Cleaning and tidying up after the children, including play areas, activity spaces, and other areas used throughout the day
• Encouraging the children to participate in cleaning up after themselves and maintaining their own spaces
• Keeping children's belongings, activity supplies, and commonly used areas organized
• Communicating clearly regarding the children's schedules, activities, needs, and any important concerns
• Travelling with the family when required and assisting with the children's care, routines, activities, and organization while away from home
• Providing a consistent, positive, and professional presence in the children's daily lives

Qualifications & Requirements

The successful candidate must:

• Have significant professional childcare or nanny experience
• Have demonstrated experience confidently caring for multiple children
• Hold a valid driver's licence
• Have their own reliable vehicle
• Be comfortable regularly transporting children
• Have a current criminal record check
• Have a current child abuse registry/check
• Hold current First Aid and CPR certification
• Be responsible, mature, organized, and highly dependable
• Demonstrate excellent judgment and a strong commitment to children's safety and well-being
• Be confident maintaining established routines, expectations, and boundaries
• Have strong communication and organizational skills
• Be comfortable working independently and taking initiative when appropriate
• Be comfortable with occasional evening and weekend hours
• Be comfortable travelling with the family when required
• Be able to provide excellent professional childcare references
• Be interested in a stable, long-term position

An Early Childhood Education (ECE) background or designation is considered a strong asset.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will reflect the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.

• $20-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• 4 weeks of vacation
