Service Advisor

Position Overview
As a Service Counter Advisor, you will assist customers and the Service Department by coordinating service needs, preparing repair orders and estimates, maintaining records, and managing parts and inventory. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-line dealership environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review vehicle maintenance records and service schedules
- Prepare accurate repair estimates by calculating parts, materials, supplies, and labour costs
- Calculate customer payments, including applicable deductibles
- Prepare and process repair orders, including documenting vehicle concerns, symptoms, causes, recommended repairs, and services required
- Obtain customer approval and required signatures
- Enter and maintain repair orders in the dealership service database
- Maintain accurate automotive service records, including identified problems and corrective actions
- Complete initial vehicle inspections and customer check-ins
- Assist with coordinating vehicle washes
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to email inquiries
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
- Minimum 6 months of automotive parts experience; dealership experience is preferred
- Strong telephone and computer skills
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-line dealership environment
- Valid Driver?s License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with the ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
