Time of year

What time of year are going targeting them? You can catch them all year round but trout typically are more aggressive in the colder months, early April/May and then late September early October.
If you don't already own any of the follow these may help you on your quest.
Buck-Tail Jig Heads
Mepps In-Line Spinners
Bluefox In-Line Spinners
Small / Medium Spoons
Lindy Rig with worm (If live bait is allowed)
Slip Bobber + Worm (If live bait is allowed)
In the event Live Bait isn't allowed on the lake's you decide to fish keep a small package of fly fishing fly's in your tackle box and some pinch weights, you can float a fly under a bobber and catch Trout this way. (Nymphs, Larvae, etc.)
Rapala's Rip N Raps (3" to 4") in similar colors of the trout species you're targeting. (If targeting Rainbows use a Rainbow Trout themed crankbait, Brown Trout use a Brown Trout themed bait.) I've used other brand's similar to the Rip N Rap and they also work.
Trout will bite on tiny hooks or large baits so if you're not having any luck on small baits, try larger baits for stocked trout. When I am out in the boat I like to put on a 3 1/2" crank and work my way up from there sometimes using 5-6" lures for stocked trout.
Hope this information can help you out. Tight lines!
