I have heard that we are no longer getting a Fionn MacCool & it is very frustrating bc they had already poured the concrete padding for it which by the way took away from much needed parking. I sure hope that they will be putting something else in it's space or rip up the padding so that we can have back our parking spots again!!!!!!

Cara Operations Ltd also have other restaurants. Kelsey's, Milestones, Casey's.

It is confirmed that Brandon will not be getting a Fionns at the moment. The owners of Fionns are upset as well due to how everything played out. Which I cannot discuss on here.  
 
There will be another Cara operated restaurant in that location. Which restaurant, who knows. I do know that original Joe's was another restaurant rumored to be in Brandon. Perhaps that? At the moment parking isn't an issue for this area.  
 
I have also messaged Adam about this.. he maybe able to get an answer sooner than later.  
 
IMO I hope it isn't Kelseys or Milestones that replaces it. I have had both, Kelseys was good years ago, after reinventing their menu their not that great and Milestones is not good ever.  
 
Disappointing about Fionns as their food is really good!

It wasn't about commitment with Fionns.  
For example, east side Mario's was to be built by PCL, then all of a sudden JnG took over building project.  
 
Hopefully morguard or shoppers mall make a statement on this.

It looks like there is work starting up there this morning. There's a semi trailer and other assorted building supplies that were not there a couple weeks ago. I don't go by there everyday, but noticed that this morning

The trailer has been there for the past week. But it seems like there maybe something going on..  
 
AS far as secure a franchisee, it wouldn't be for Fionn's. It would be for another cara franchise. IMO, if Fionn's does open elsewhere in Brandon, it will be the same franchisee that would do it.

As per Shoppers Mall management, Fionns’ parent company CARA couldn’t secure a franchisee and so there is no Fionn. They are in the early stages of negotiating with CARA on another restaurant, though nothing to announce at this time. Will update if/when I learn more
