These guys are smooth so please warn your family and friends.  
 
I put an ad up in the classifieds and had a guy state that he was interested and wanted to purchase immediately and would have a mover come pick up the tires on his behalf as he wasn’t in town. Thought this was strange but ok. He went on to ask if I had PayPal as he wanted to pay through that and I suggested an email transfer instead. Said he didn’t have time and then said he sent it along with money for the movers but that I had to send the money to the movers myself before the funds would be released. Sent a few emails that looks like they came from PayPal administration but it is fake.  
 
For those not accustom to this type of scam, please warn them. They say the product they are purchasing will be sent to California. I have reported it to Cdn Anti-fraud Centre and said to share with the e-Brandon community.

Only meet in person and only take cash for an item. Most that won’t agree to that are a scam

The BPS still has a corner of their lot available exchanges such as this. They don't continually monitor it, but there are cameras recording 24/7.

It sounds like the same scam that I ran into, with only a few details changed.  
 
It pays to be aware.

If you ever get a paypal email from someone, an easy way to check for scam is look at the email address from the received email. Usually a scammer email will be something unrelated to paypal with either a jumble of letters or it will have a name along with paypal.

We posted a car on Kijiji and the scumbags called his cell and got him to do exactly the same thing. He got a heads-up email from Kijiji quick enough to go to the Post Office to cancel the money order. Thank god. He would have been out $350, a lot of money for a kid working part-time.If it's not the scammers from Indian with CRA scams, it's the actual CRA ripping people off https://globalnews.ca/news/3956042/cra-disability-tax-credit-canada/ and now these tools.And don't even start with the banks, cell companies and Hydro. Truly a global village with all the social ills that go with it. Be aware no one is safe anymore from the information harvesters. Be skeptical of everything coming you way in the constant fight to just keep the money you earn.
