Does anyone know the laws about paying rent to your dad and they give you 10 days to get out is he allowed to start throwing away my things before the ten days???

Is there actually a contract? Is he kicking you out of a separate property or their own home? Are you over 18? I mean, there's a lot of variables in this that are unanswered.

If you can’t pay offer labour in return like renovating the house.  
 
Ancient law passed down through the generations says that yes a dad can throw out your stuff and run over video games with a lawn mower.  
 
Criminal law intentionally keeps this area of concern undefined.

If you have a legal right to be there, like a lease, the province isnt allowing evictions until after may 31st due to non payment of rent. If you're living at home and your dad is kicking you out, I don't think there's anything.

Without knowing more about your situation, I would hazard that this isn't a landlord/tenant dispute, and more a parent/child/family dispute.  
 
Sometimes tough love is tough.

Imagine kicking your kid out of the house during a pandemic when everyone is supposed to stay home as much as possible.  
There are likely 4 other sides to this story.

You can be evicted if you are doing anything illegal or if he feels that you are threatening the safety of the others that are living in the dwelling with a 5 day notice.

No contract he didnt even want rent and yes im over 18 i have 3year old twins as well and it is his home.

Your dad. Was letting you and your twin daughters stay there free. Not asking rent. And now is kicking you out in a pandemic.

i would say he still has to give you 30 days, and no they cant throw out your stuff but parents maybe will if you are leaving it around, it gross ect.  
 
the situation really sounds toxic, I can t imagine kicking my child and grand children out in the middle of a pandemic, unless you are threatening him or something very serious I think for you safety you better find a relative or somewhere to go , contact assistance and shelters ect hopefully you can get some help and find a place to live asap

Rent is paid i do everything reno's cooking cleaning literally everything. Thank you everyone.

No nothing is a mess i try to keep the place clean for the kids and because its not mine hes fine when hes sober but when hes drunk he gets a mad hate on for my kids dad. I dont know a soul here i moved from alberta last year because he told me he was sick and needed help. I left almost everything i owned behind brought kids clothes toys and my dog.

Please go and see the Housing Resource Worker at 7th Street Health Access Center. They can help you find more appropriate housing for you and your kids and dog.

First you say he “didn’t even want rent”, than you say “rent is paid”. Not sure we are getting the whole story, but good luck to you

As rental contracts can be verbal, written or implied within Manitoba, I would suggest that you have the same rights as any other tenant. Given that, I would contact the tenancies branch to find out your exact rights and the Police regarding your property being mishandled.
