We have a few Christmas snow globes that are family heirlooms. This year one of them doesn’t seem to work any more. Have tried new batteries. Still nothing. We always take the batteries out at the end of every season too so they don’t leak any of that white acid stuff out either.  
 
Does anyone know some one who could repair somthing like this?

The glass part is not broken just somthing electrical that makes everything on the inside happen.

Can you elaborate on what is not working, is it a water filled globe or an air filled one, musical or not?  
Can it be taken apart, maybe the motor shaft needs a drop of lubricant.  
Have you checked that the wires and connections are not broken?

I'm glad you clarified that. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong with my snowglobes!! :D  
 
Is it mechanical or electronic? If it's mechanical and stored in your basement, it's possible the metal gears etc are corroded due to ambient humidity. I'm not sure how to fix that other than taking it apart and cleaning it.

Here’s a photo. It’s battery operated. A few years old. Part of the collection of snow globes my wife has. Some are very old. This one doesn’t do anything anymore.

checked that it is not the switch by connecting across the terminals?

Aw... it's too bad it's broken because it's really lovely.  
 
Like suggested, it might be as "simple" as the switch being broken or maybe a loose wire. Can you easily undo the underside of the base and check all the connections?  
 
You said you take the batteries out every season, but I would careful inspect the terminals just to make sure there's no junk and you can clean them. What you use depends on what type of batteries you use - sometimes my husband can use vinegar but sometimes other stuff (it depends if the battery is acid-based or whatever).  
 
And even if it never works again... it's beautiful just the way it is! Just enjoy it and don't worry about it!
