Unless there are a lot of ballots yet to be counted, Fawcett(1k)-Oleson(500) is on track to have a total vote count less than half of the difference between Crest (9k) - Dekter-Hirst(4k) back in 2014.

Current counts: Fawcett 3370, Oleson 1278, total 4648, still less than the difference between the candidates in 2014, and on track to be even less than the pathetic turn-out in 2018.

I personally don't think Oleson was under the expectation he was going to win, his intent was to showcase the shortcomings of the current and as it appears the future of city governance. Given more exposure and interest who knows?
I am sure one of our candidates lost because I never saw him once the only time was at the debate, the other one talked with me about issues at my door, guess who got my vote.

I'm with you delpmb - I never saw or received door hangers from one candidate in my ward, but spent half an hour chatting with the other candidate. He got my vote
