Just a friendly note for anyone who might be new to the site.  
 
With how many different personality types we have participating in threads, there are bound to be times where things sway off of the actual discussion topic and towards personal insults. Personal insults are of course not appropriate in public discussions on this site. If you happen to notice one that has yet to be dealt with by myself or the moderation team, please private message me so that I can look into it and deal with as appropriate (all tips are handled anonymously). Responding to an initial insult with something equally as personally insulting serves no purpose but to prolong the dispute and throw a thread in a direction that none of us want. Normally this type of thing will only yield a warning on the first offense, but a repeated history of it will force me to escalate things in the best interests of the site and those of us that want to read and take part in mature debate.
