New feature: Discussion email and text alerts

By request, a bit of a new feature addition tonight that will make it easier for people to follow a specific thread they're interested in...
Now at the bottom of any discussion thread is a link that says "Get email/text alerts for this discussion." When clicking on that link you'll have the option of putting in your email address or cell phone number to receive an instant alert as soon as someone posts a reply to that discussion.
The e-mail received contains a link directly to the post within the discussion along with brief preview of what's in the post. Because text messages have to be brief, the message received will tell you the name of the thread and the username of the person who posted the new message.... but won't have a direct link.
Cell phone carriers supported right now are MTS, Rogers, Telus and Fido. The messages received should count the same as any other text message you receive from anyone else.
