Tomorrow Never Comes
5/23/2010 at 9:12 AM
For people who are posting about various events, there are seven labels that should be used instead of "Tomorrow".
They are:
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
and
Saturday
If you announce that something is happening "Tomorrow" it is a relative term that is based on when it is communicated. You may be posting on Friday about a Saturday event but I am READING (the other half of communication) it on Saturday and therefor am given the impression that the event is on Sunday. These posts are often read when I have yet to finish consuming my first cup of coffee so trying to translate the posting time and date into the event date is close to impossible.
To make your event more successful, include the clear label as to which day it is going to happen.
From this point on, I will ignore any announcement that uses the relative term rather than the absolute term to describe the event. How many other eBrandon readers agree with me?
