I recently had to take one of my cats into the vet. They told me to bring him in and that they would watch him until they could find out his problem. He was there all day. When I got home and looked at my very expensive bill, I discovered I had been charged a $16 kennel fee!!! They said they had to keep him but no mention of a kennel fee. His next appointment was made for a day that I would have to drop him off before going to work but once I realized I would have to pay another $16 kennel fee - on top of the actual fees for service, I changed the appointment to a time I can stay with him.  
 
What are other people's experience with vet fees???? Am I correct in thinking this is a bit unreasonable???
