As I was reading a book in Stanley Park today,I noticed a older kid (14, 15 maybe)picking on a younger boy (perhaps 8 or 9)and it was very evident this younger boy was very distressed and emotionally distraught.He just sort of tried to get away and sat down with a very defeated and beaten look. My heart just went out to him. There were no parents around either. I spoke to the bully and he had this lame excuse "he deserves this"
What in the world do you do in a situation as this????
The bully did not hurt him physically, but was giving the youngster light drop kicks and tormenting him continually.He was also pushing him down to the ground a lot.This all took place in the evening when the water supervisers had left. Excuse bad spelling.
