Hi everyone,  
 
There's been some interest over the years in having a regular live chat feature on this site. In the past we've held several themed chats with particular guests that have worked fairly well with the custom chat functionality that I've built.... but we haven't had simple wide-open chats where people can meet and just have a general chat with others in the room.  
 
With that in mind, over the last little bit I've been customizing the existing chat functionality that I built previously to work more seamlessly with eBrandon and intend on running a few test chat sessions to see how well a live chat might go over within the format of this site.  
 
The first test will be a biggie.... from 8-10 PM on election night, there will be a link made available on the front page that will allow you to use your eBrandon account to login to a live chat room. In that room you'll have a chance to chat with others in the room as election results begin to come in and as we find out who is declared winner of the various positions. Of course the format will be wide open and one won't be expected to stick to just chat about the election.<>:This isn't to be confused with discussion threads that will be on the site tomorrow night relating to the election where people will have a chance to exchange more in depth thoughts as the night plays out, but at the same time it should provide another unique way to interact with other local people during what should be an exciting night.  
 
If this is the kind of thing that might interest you, please pop by Wednesday night between 8 and 10 and we'll see how it goes! Based on Wednesday, we'll see if this kind of thing might be worth experimenting with a few more times and take it from there.
