Painting a bath tub - HELP!?!

I want to paint our bath tub a colour - not white. Our water is somewhat hard, so there's always a bit of build up. The build up is easily removed, but it looks terrible against the white tub. Is there such paint? Is it expensive? Is it durable? Any knowledge/experience would be appreciated
