Well, I've been trying to sell my guitar on here for some time, and was delighted this morning when I had recieved an email from an almost overly excited buyer. The following is the first email he had sent:
"Hello,I will like to make an enquiry if your advert placed above is still available for sale.If yes, kindly let me know the last price you want to give it out and present condition.Pics will be ok. Miller Red"
The email address that it came from was situated in the UK, however in the next email the customer informed me that he was located in Alaska. Read below:
"Hello, I will like to make an enquiry if your advert placed above is still available for sale .If yes, kindly let me know the last price you want to give it out and present condition, a pics will be fine.Let me know your prefered method of payment and who do the shipping to (ALASKA) but I can always handle that as i have a reputable and capable shipper i use regularly. A guy, from England, wants to buy MY guitar and have it shipped to Alaska. What?? WELL if that didn't sound fishy enough, the last email consisted of the following reply:

Your full name.....?
Your full address.....?
Your state........?
Your zipcode........?
Your telephone number........?
Note i will give you $50 for keeping it for me till you receive the payment because i really need it and also note that i have a reputable and capable shipper that will be coming for pick up at your base.
Thanks and God bless you.
Miller"
ALRIGHT! I'm fully convinced that something is up here. If you think about it, my name, location, and phone number are already listed on the classified ad. And he refused to agree to let me send it Fed Ex or Purolator. I used my powers of internet research, and found the following website:

Apparently this individual has been scamming all kinds of people. Other similar things popped up with him leaving similar replies on other online classified sites. eeeuuugh. Just figured I'd give everyone a warning! (Considering my friend was all convinced he was sincere and nice guy!)
