Discussions

Hi everyone,  
 
I have a request that I thought I'd better call a bit of attention to.  
 
With the growth in the amount of discussion in the site, there seem to be in some cases 2 or 3 threads popping up that are essentially about the same topic.  
 
The growth is a great thing, but I ask that you please check and see if a closely related topic already exists when you're about start a new discussion.  
 
This of course doesn't apply to old threads. Only discussions that could be considered "current" within the last couple of weeks or so.  
 
The main reason being that about 3/4 of visitors reading the discussion forums use the front page "active topics" as their guide. If 2 or 3 of these are about the same thing, those visitors will get access to less topics.
