eBrandon introduces new events calendar!
4/9/2008 at 11:54 AM
Anyone visiting the site today will notice the first change to the orange tabs at the top in over a year. The "Surveys" feature has now been replaced by an in depth new Events Calendar.
The calendar includes two ways to view events:
- as a day-by-day listing
- as points plotted on a city map
Ideally it would be great if any kind of event were added, whether it's something that would appeal to 20 people or 1000, whether it's a large event at Westman Place, a high school sports game, a small public concert and everything in between. That way so that we can have a really good snapshot of what is going on throughout Brandon for anyone with any kind of interest.
If you know of an event, please feel free to add it.... It doesn't matter if you're the person running it, or if you've noticed it isn't on the calendar and you think other people visiting the site would be interested in checking it out. The more we all chip in, the better resource this will be for everyone!
I've also added up-to-date movie listings to the right-hand column of this page, since if you're going to the events page with the question "What can I do in Brandon this week," movies factor into a lot of peoples' decisions.
Surveys are still integrated with user profiles and will continue to be a part of the site in a less prominent way.
Enjoy!
