Clothing Donation

Hi, just curious as to where a good place to donate clothing would be? I'm looking to donate very gently used clothes, but don't want them resold at value village, I'm looking to donate the clothing somewhere that it will really make a difference for a young girl. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Nearly New Store on 8th St. Proceeds go towards buying equipment etc at the hospital.

I also accept donated clothing. I bring them to the reserve I work at (Canupawakpa). If it's women's clothing I wait for prenatal class for our women to go through. For younger youths clothing I let them go through it as well.
Just a suggestion.

the bins contents go to value village, leaving not much of the proceeds going towards a charity. I would prefer to directly help our youth.

I am with Deedlelee. I take all my stuff to Nearly New. All profits go towards buying much needed medical equipment for the hospital.

Clothsline project - Red Bins - Diabetes assoication

The Red Bins donations 100% directly benefit the diabetes association. The clothing donated is collected by the program and then sold to raise money for research and support services.

The clothing is sold to a number of used clothing stores but not exclusively to Value Village.
