The year is coming to a close and to mark another year I was hoping to hear from those that are thankful for yet another year of small miracles, small goals met, or those that are just happy to have been able to enjoy the little things in life.  
I'll start with being able to move from one thankless job to work that really does not seem like a job. To welcoming a tiny new human into my family and to being so thankful that my immediate family is still whole. Anyone else thankful for what they have??

My family grew by one member this year, when my sister welcomed her son, the first grandchild, into our world. I cannot imagine life without him! His smiles and cuddles light up my life.  
 
And, I'm thankful to be fully staffed at work again, so I can take time off to spend more time with him and the rest of my family.

We have food, clothing, shelter, heat, and our health. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

This year has had many ups and downs... But at the end, I am so thankful for my family!  
Our eldest son was diagnosed with a terrible heart condition (HCM - Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and thankfully our amazing Doctor (caught it before it was too late)  
Our family has become more strong and supportive because of all that has gone on!  
 
I am very thankful for my new job this year! My employeres are amazing and treat us employee's with soo much respect!  
 
I am thankful for my wonderful, hardworking husband who works hard day after day just to give us everything we need and more!  
 
I am thankful for all my family and friends. Without you this year would have been very rough!

Sorry for the long post, but I am very thankful for the little things and big things! Love All!

I finally took my trip of a lifetime and it has changed me for the better. It was the first time I had been outside of Canada since my daughter was born in the 1990s.  
 
Part of the trip was a pilgrimage around the island of Crete where Goddess and Matriarchal beliefs were and still are followed. In one cave, the ritual was to ask Persephone to help rid us of something as we threw a rock down a crevice. After fifteen years, I was able to throw the anger I was still carrying around about my ex husband. I have been calmer every since. I have positive energy to focus on what really matters.  
 
The trip gave me the insight I needed to be there and help my mother when she was recovering from surgery.  
 
With the loss of my younger sister to a heart attack last December, my health has become important again. I do this not just because I think I should live forever, but to save my mother the pain of having to bury another child. The trip showed me the importance of the Mother-Daughter relationship and I now cherish it more than before.  
 

I found out that I had cancer in May, was sent to Winnipeg for the initial consultation, surgery in July and cancer free now. I was a stage one but never having surgery in my life I was so scared I was not going to make it through. I had the love of my husband, parents and sister to help me through this difficult time and love them so much.

Having seen so many people struck with serious illness and loss of life, can only be thankful for reasonably good health and quality of life.  
Although loss of a parent this year was difficult, have to be thankful for having had two parents who lived long and positive lives and were always there for me. And for the support of a very strong sibling.  
And for the continued good health and companionship of my furry friends.

Life, love and family.

I am greatfully thankful i have the best kids,best of friends and truly thankful every morning, so far this year, i have woken up...... with a pulse ! lol

This beautiful country we live in, health, family, great friends, good job and furry friends that greet you at the door. Being able to afford groceries, drive a car and great neighbors.

God has been good to us in everything.  
He saves us from accident, kept alive till today with HIS mercy.

GOD works miracles, HE has done it before, HE is doing right now and HE will continue to do it forever.  
HE is miracle working GOD.  
2016 is our year of abundant miracles.  
My GOD is ready and my set for his abundant miracles.

I am thankful that I have been shown that there is a far better way to be spiritual than by following the patriarchal diatribe of Christianity. The many Goddesses that I learned about on my trip have shown me the freedom I am now enjoying without a man telling me what to say or do. The twenty other women on the pilgrimage around Crete were an inspiration as we experienced the many miracles that the Goddesses have given us.  
 
While learning a song in one of the caves, I remembered a similar music-spiritual event that my sister and I experienced four decades previously. But I did not have access to the internet to properly research it until three weeks later. When I returned to Brandon, I sent her the email with the links and how this song reminded me of the retreat we shared long ago. Her reply was that her spiritual group in Calgary had learned it within a week of me learning it and wanting to share it with her. The force of the Goddesses passed the message faster than I could compose the email.  
 
With the strength that I received on my trip, I have been able to reach out and help other women become better people. I have opened my mind to the Indigenous stories and rituals. I have found more pagan friends to learn from. I am inspired by my late sister that followed the Torah more than the bible. I am more active in my Presbyterian church hearing only the positive and letting the negative (anti-women) rhetoric pass me by.  
 
Thank you to the many Goddesses and Carol Christ for leading me to their light.

 
Having my mom for another holiday season. After having a head surgery getting diagnosed with a brain tumor and going through radiation, we had her for another year, hopefully all goes well in 2016 and she will be here for another holiday season.  
 
I'm thankful for my step dad who had a heart attack in January, and how much he helps mom.  
 
I'm thankful for my hard working husband and daughter and my uncles and aunts whom I don't know how I would have got through this year without them.  
 
I'm thankful for my two employers that let me have the time I needed to be in Winnipeg with my mom at Health Science Centre.  
 
I'm thankful for having a roof over our heads and food in our cupboards.  
 

I am thankful for my friends giving me back my life by pulling me out of my deep depression I do not think that I would be here if not for them
