So I'm not asking this to start anything, I'm just genuinely curious: for those people who sell their engagement/wedding rings on ebrandon, do you ever actually get the $2500-5000 price tag that you ask? I totally get that these are expensive purchases, but I know that even pawn shops won't seem to give you more than a couple hundred bucks for them. Do you ever have luck selling them? I know when I did it, I practically gave them away. First because I couldn't get what I thought was a decent price, and second cause in the end I just wanted them out of my house!

I sold mine on ebrandon for just under 50% of the value. Be it a lower value ring $1500 I think I just got lucky, plus the wonderful couple I sold it to were getting married on my birthday so it was meant to be. It went to a good home, with someone to appreciate it! Lol

well that makes sense to sell at at least that big of a discount. It's the people who put ads on where it will say "appraised at $_____" and then sell for only a few hundred less. Appraisal value is always more than what they would even sell it for in a jewellery store, so why would anyone want to spend $3000 (for example) on a ring used, when you can spend that in a store and get warranty and insurance etc for that price? I always look back at ads to see if they sell. Some people have absolutely beautiful rings for sale and I always wonder what they do with them if they aren't successful on here.
