For the life of me, I will never understand why people don't post prices on their ads. If you are negotiable, you can always put that in the body of your ad, but it is such a time saver when you are looking at items. I think it is self defeating as well, if it is a phone call only type ad, I simply won't bother to call if there is no price. If it is out of my price range, I won't waste either my time or yours! Just MHO.

And also I wish people would put more info about the size of their items such as furniture. How tall a vase is, dimensions of a picture, etc. Could gripe a lot too about how people often misrepresent the condition of an item or the materials in it (ie solid wood when it's pressboard). It doesn't help to sell the item, just wastes everyone's time.

I've also had situations where the ad has no listed price, but states "open to reasonable offers". Then when you send what you think is a reasonable offer, they think your offer is absolutely outrageous! If they had posted their minimum price in the first place, at least we would have a starting point of what they are expecting for that item.

I skip ads that say 'make an offer', skip the no picture ads or bad pictures.

Some of the ads are so bare bones, it's hard to tell what the item even is…LOL.
My favourites are the ones with no pictures, but say email for pictures, well, by golly if you can email a picture, then why not just post it? LOL.
We too, simply won't respond to the make an offer ads….people generally have a pretty good idea what they need to sell an item for, posting it with the ad is a time saver for everyone!

You get trapped in the "oh jeez I couldn't let it go for that"..."well what do you think you could let it go for?"...."I'd need at least this arbitrary number based on nothing more than it's 20% larger than the number you just said"

What I hate is when people say OBO, so I make an offer and get absolutely no response. Is bartering too much effort or something?
Or, if the item is sold, they don't bother responding to tell you.

Sorry, thread says prices, which not having is a pain, but I also find when the add says for example, "Snowmobile", then you open the adv. and it's a "Wanted to buy a snowmobile...". Put "Wtb" or "Wanted" in your title! Also agree with des:cription, for example winter tires, put the size in the title, I am sure you'll get more people looking!
