Im getting a new pup, and I want to bring him to vet for a checkup, I wonder how much the consultation would be? Thank you

Annual exam is around $55.  
 
I don't know about all the vets but Brandon hills has "puppy packages", it covers all of there visits and initial vetting. I don't remember the prices but I think it might be $200ish (there's three to choose from depending on what extra shots you want)? And then you just have to go back once a year for boosters (:  
 
Grand Valley is usually the cheapest, I don't know if they have the puppy packs though.

I took my new puppies to Brandon Hills. I admit I didn't do any comparison pricing so not sure how they compare to Grand Valley. I wanted to take my puppies to a vet that I trusted. I asked around and Dr. Fisher was recommended by 2 friends so that is where I went. Puppy packages range. I paid just over $200 for each puppy but this will give me a small discount to get them fixed. they also have Saturday hours with works well for me. Not sure if the others do or not. My family takes their pet to Grand Valley and are happy with the services there. I hear the lady vet on the hill is very good as well.  
For something like this I think it is just a matter of who you are comfortable with. My puppies are young and healthy so I went with the vet that was recommended as gentle and kind. I like Dr. Fisher and the staff at Brandon Hills.

They also have a puppy care package, which i:ncludes your pups first year of shots and Deworming and also i:ncludes 10% off spay/neutering when the time comes and a bag of expensive puppy food. 200$ for that. They are so friendly and caring there wouldn't go anywhere else.

Sounds like they run about the same at both places.

I wouldn't take my pups to anyone else they truly car for your animals.

I also love grand valley! Have vetted all my animals over the years with them. Highly recommend them.

I am so happy we contacted the mobile vet. My experience with all vets is most animals hate going in to the vets offices and it creates anxiety.  
 
I love Dr Lianas demeanour, and she and her techs come right to your home. The animals really do respond better to these visits. A recent illness with our dog was made so much easier by the mobile visit.  
 
No, in a major emergency you would still have to use a clinic, but I do highly recommend the mobile vet for routine visits.

I second the petmobile. Excellent service and come to your home. She can do basic surgeries in her mobile clinic. Very reasonably priced!

Any more thoughts on typical cost that would be expected for the checkup the OP is looking at having done?

Just call the clinic(s) you are considering. They shouldn't mind giving a quote over the phone.

My cat had full exam. All vaccines. Deworming. Tatoo. Neuter. Took about half hour and i:ncluded a $50something homecall/travel fee and was about $230? That also i:ncluded a cat toothbrush and toothpaste. She gave me a full quote before booking. If she has other appts in brandon that day you dont pay the travel fee i beleive.
